Nathan’s Playroom is a 501(c)3 public benefit charity providing support services focused on the siblings of seriously or chronically ill children. Our programs include a Youth Council, movie nights at the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, The Sibling STAR Award (a sibling recognition award), The ToyBox, and a toy-giving program with a national wish granting organization. Kevin and Rebecca Tamosaitis founded Nathan’s Playroom in 2009, in honor of their first son Nathan. Nathan was born with a severe form of Spina Bifida, and passed away from complications due to his condition after only 43 days. Their daughter, Sierra, was only four at the time, and became the inspiration for supporting siblings who face challenges many of us can’t understand.
We work to further our mission by not only reaching out to individual families through various ways, but we also believe in working hand-in-hand with other like minded charities to more effectively serve the community. We are able to measure our success by the number of children we serve in any given period of time.
If someone wants to get involved, they can visit NathansPlayroom.org and click the red button that is on the top of every page. Also, one of our biggest needs currently are funds to support our mission by helping us to obtain more toys, community outreach, and a vehicle to deliver toy packages.
